Things I like to eat presently.

I have been trying with a fair amount of success to eat healthy. Things like lentils, veggies, egg whites, brown rice, soy milk, walnuts, edamame, dark chocolate and such wonderful stuff. Don't get me wrong I relish foods like pizza, pasta, BURGERS (had one on Sunday) and chicken nuggets but I do enjoy the healthy foods. Also eating at home, the meals that I cook where I can control the salt and oil really makes me feel good on the inside.
I have never counted calories and I don't think I ever will. I try to eat healthy foods most of the time since I started this weight loss journey and these days I try to eat minimal at nights and also try to eat 2-3 hours before bed time. I am having a tough time avoiding snacks close to bed time!
French Lentils. I love these lentils...very hearty and a good source of protein and does not get mushy like the Yellow lentils, which I also like. I used to buy them from Whole Foods but I found a better deal on Amazon marketplace from the seller called Angelina's Gourmet. I got a 10lb bag for $18+ $ 8.48 s&h. Defnitely a cheaper protein source than Salmon and Organic meats.

I switched from using white Basmati Rice to Brown Basmati that I buy at the Indian Grocery Store and following is a picture of the grains.

This is something I have had for a few years and my husband used to tease me that I spent money to buy something expensive to only use it twice but of late ( alright this past week) I have been enjoying using this Juicer by Breville.
I hope to make this a lifestyle.
